The Electronic Entertainment Expo runs between the 5th and 7th of June and the Gadget Helpline will be following all the major hardware and software announcements from big industry names such as Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony – as well as offering a Daily Recap on many areas of this year’s show!
With E3 under a week away, we know that Halo fans are in for a real treat. The fourth instalment of the game is coming later this year – this much we know – but now the Halo team has revealed a little of what’s in store, plus some exciting bonuses for those who pre-order.
Next week’s event in Los Angeles will see Halo fans teased with even more knowledge and footage from the game. In a blog post the team tells of how it has spent months finely tweaking its presentation for the event, and yesterday they gathered around the big screen to watch the final trailer – we get the impression Halo fans are going to love what’s in store.
Those fortunate enough to attend the event will get the chance to play the game, and we’re told that asides from the big secrets there will be new enemies and Spartan Ops mode to pore over.
Retailers have already started taking pre-orders for the hugely anticipated Halo 4, and now we’ve got some eye candy in the form of some exclusive DLC for those who pre-order.
Exactly what you’ll get depends on the retailer that you pre-order with, but the Halo team has kindly shared almost the full collection of goodies that Xbox gamers can bag when placing an early order. Skins for weapons, armour and helmets are available, along with five exclusive emblems.
The skins are fully customisable, so we’re told, meaning that the gamer can pick and choose a custom colour for their new helmet, armour or weapon skin before heading into battle.
If you’re interested on checking out pre-order deals for Halo 4 and seeing which retailers offer the best bundles with extra content, you can check out a dedicated thread over on the Halo 4 forums here.
