Our hopes of any real-life success with England in the Euro 2012 tournament have been dashed by Italy, which has undoubtedly lead to thousands of fans reverting to good old FIFA for some real joy.
Thankfully there’s a new game coming out very soon, and now eager gamers can get their eyes around pre-order deals for FIFA 13, including an Ultimate Edition with plenty of bonus content.
EA Sports has stepped up its game with FIFA 13 Ultimate Edition, announcing that pre-orders will come with a generous helping of the Ultimate Team Gold Packs – 24 weeks in total, which should get your team up to scratch to take on others online. Once your six months of free packs run out you can continue to purchase new packs in order to bolster your squad.
It’s not just new players that you’ll get; each Gold Pack contains players, contracts, stadiums, managers, staff, fitness, healing, balls, kits, and badges. There are 12 items in each pack, with all players at least a 75 in terms of skill, with one item guaranteed to be ‘rare’ – ahh, this takes us back to the days of collecting football stickers! EA says the 24 packs are worth £15 in total, but if you pre-order then you’ll get them free with the game.
If you’re looking for a different kind of bonus with your pre-order, ailing high street chain GAME will be giving away an exclusive download of the Adidas All-Star team with pre-ordered copies. As you might expect, the team consists of Adidas sponsored players such as Mr Lionel Messi.
More pre-order bundles are expected to be announced by various retailers as the September 28th launch date draws nearer. Where will you get your copy from?
