Sky Launches James Bond Specific 007 Movies HD Channel

So far it’s been a busy year for James Bond, what with skydiving into the 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony with the Queen and being off filming the latest in the James Bond franchise of films, Sky Fall.

Now 007 himself will be getting a full movie showcase when Sky runs a dedicated James Bond Movie channel later this year.

Sky has announced that they will start to show all 22 Bond movies in glorious High Definition on a dedicated Sky Movies Channel in the UK. This will be happening from October 5th and it will all gear towards Bond’s 23rd instalment Skyfall, hitting the big screen on the October 22nd.

Running over the course of the month, Sky Movies 007 HD will carry all 22 of the previous movies in order, from 1962’s Dr No right up to 2008’s Quantum of Solace. Additionally, you will be able to see the two non-official Bond films in the form of the comedy version of Casino Royale and Sean Connery’s Bond Thunderball rip-off “Never Say Never Again”.

You will also be able to stream the collection on Android, iOS and PC platforms through the Sky Go application where they will be showing all the films on demand for a few months.

You will need to be a Sky Movies subscriber on Sky or Virgin media to have the channels, and if you have the package Sky Movies 007 HD will start with the first James Bond movie, Dr No, on October 5th.
