Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet Launching Tomorrow (16th August)

Samsung has officially announced that the Galaxy Note 10.1 Android tablet will go on sale tomorrow (16th August 2012) and has released the full specifications and pricing details about its latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet.

The tablet has been one of the worst kept secrets in technology over the past few months as leaks, release dates and information have been online since the tablet fist stumbled out before the MWC conference in February.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is in theory part of the note range of smartphones due to the inclusion of the Samsung S-Pen, which can be used to navigate the device and its features as well as for shortcuts for the device usage – all of which have been seen on the Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone.

The Android tablet comes with a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor (one of the reasons for the delay of the tablet was to update to a quad-core CPU), 2GB of RAM, and Android ICS 4.0 version software with Jelly Bean coming in the next few months, on a 10.1-inch 1280×800 TFT display.

The tablet also has a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera, expandable MicroSD card slot which is expandable up to 64GB, and Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 will come with Samsung’s TouchWiz User Interface which will come with the usual Samsung apps like Samsung World and Music Hub, plus a few quad-core-benefitting preloaded apps like Netflix, Dropbox, and Adobe Photoshop Touch.

Currently the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is only available on Wi-Fi only and will be priced at f $499 for 16GB version or $549 for 32GB Tablet.

There is no news on a UK release date but we will update when there is more information.
