Activision and Treyarch have announced that they will be releasing a patch for the recently released Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Xbox 360 game which will address some of the release day issues that gamers have been experiencing.
First up there will be a fix for error 226117 that appears in the Theatre Mode UI when watching back gameplay. Then there are fixes put in place for the Escort Drone glitch which causes the drone to attack its owner while under the map, and it combats the Dragonfire glitch which prevents it from deploying in the first place.
The update was announced by Treyarch design director David Vonderhaar via Twitter, who stated:
“It combats the Theatre Mode UI error 226117 – always hated that one. It fixes the Escort Drone glitch, which causes it to attack its owner while under the map, and it combats the Dragonfire glitch which prevents it from deploying.”
“Oh good. Now the occasional Dragonfire that won’t deploy will hopefully stop trolling me,” he said.
Currently the update is only for the Microsoft Xbox 360 version of the game and Treyarch has stated that they are working with Sony to try and address the issues with the PS3 and its gamers. PS3 users have also been experiencing a high number of crashes during matchmaking which Treyarch will also be looking into and hopefully providing some fixes for asap.
