Not quite had your fill of Full HD phones yet? Good, because Huawei is set to join the race with its ultra-thin Ascend P2.
Leaked last night through Unwired View, the new phone is thought to be patiently waiting for its official launch at next month’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
A successor to the impressive Ascend P1, the P2 will sport a 1080p Full HD display of a size currently unknown. Going by the current trend, we’re going to go out on a limb and say that it will be rocking a 5-inch screen size.
Details are currently scant but we do also know that the Ascend P2 will measure just 6.45mm thick, which is made even more remarkable when you spot the 13-megapixel camera and LED flash on the back. We’re not entirely sure how Huawei has crammed such a big sensor into such a skinny phone, but we doth our hats to them.
The handset looks to be running Android Jelly Bean alongside a custom user interface, which is probably Huawei’s very own ‘Emotion’ UI.
Other details include a micro SD card slot and physical camera button, but for the full low down we’ll need to wait patiently until Huawei reveals the Ascend P2 next month – we hope.
