Well, well, well. What have we here? It looks as though Nokia could be ready to launch a new Lumia smartphone as early as April, with the fiery codename ‘Flame’.
A spy shot of an internal T-Mobile document recently appeared online, showing a range of unannounced products that the network would be launching in the future, and the one that particularly caught our eye was the Nokia ‘Flame’.
The phone is slated for release on April 24th, although it’s worth noting that this is a T-Mobile US document and not the UK network. However, it’s likely that the phone will make its way to other countries in due time.
The Flame is listed as being a 4G phone for the US, so if it does make its way to the UK then we’re guessing it will either come to EE with 4G connectivity or other networks without 4G.
Other than 4G connectivity we know very little about the phone. The codename ‘Flame’ has however been linked to an entry-level Windows Phone from Nokia in the past, which back then was said to have a dual-core 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, a 4-inch touchscreen and 4GB of memory.
The Flame isn’t the only new Lumia phone that’s rumoured – a flagship phone dubbed the ‘EOS’ is said to be in the works, including a PureView camera that’s even better than that of the current Lumia 920, which is already damn impressive.
We’ve also heard reports of new mid-range and entry level Lumia phones launching this year, so perhaps the Flame will represent the entry level option.
