Phone customisation is big business these days, and ever since the days of snap-on covers for the Nokia 3310 we’ve loved jazzing up our phones. Unfortunately for Google Nexus 4 owners there aren’t many case and cover options right now, but we’ve stumbled across a range of new vinyl skins which are awesome.
As awesome as the back of the Nexus 4 is, with its sparkly finish that catches the light and glitters, we think that these vinyl skins are actually worthy of covering it up.
These slick strips of vinyl are cut perfectly to fit the back of the phone and leave the camera, flash and speakers untouched, whilst adding a layer of scratch protection to the glass finish and of course, making the phone unique.
The skins are cut from 3M adhesive vinyl and so they simply stick on, without leaving any nasty residue behind if you ever take it off.
There are 12 options on offer, ranging from titanium to carbon and leather finishes, all of which look pretty awesome if you ask us.
What’s more, each vinyl cover costs a very reasonable $9. Although they’re only adding scratch protection to the rear glass panel and nothing else, they could make a nice pairing with the official Nexus 4 bumper from Google, which adds more protection to the sides of the phone and a little insurance when it comes to accidental drops, with a rubber edging.
Taking a look at our Nexus 4 right now it looks a little, well… ordinary. We might just have to spruce it up with some carbon fibre.
