Sony’s much anticipated Xperia Z Android smartphone is nearly here and just to add the cherry on the bun it’s also coming to the UK in a 4G version as confirmed by Vodafone today.
The smartphone will be launching at the end of this month and Vodafone has launched its pre-order system for the Xperia Z in the UK, which has also confirmed the network will be stocking the phone in 4G/LTE before the network even has a confirmed 4G network!
Vodafone has the handset up for pre-order on a selection of deals, with customers able to get the handset free of charge for £42 a month on a 24 month contract, which will include unlimited texts, minutes and 2GB of mobile data.
For a cheaper deal though you will have to pay for the Xperia Z as Vodafone has deals for £29, £33 and £37 a month, with a-one off charge of £149, £99 and £49 respectively to get the handset.
Vodafone is also sweetening the deal for the first 1000 customers as it is offering a set of free Sony MDR-1R headphones to these early pre-order customers who book the handset in advance before the 28th of February.
It’s not hard to see why Vodafone is setting the pre-orders up for the Android Jelly Bean running smartphone as the Xperia Z is a beautiful beast of a handset. With its gorgeous 5-inch 1080p display and striking yet durable design, the Xperia Z looks set to be an absolute cracker. With Android Jelly Bean, a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and a staggering 13-megapixel camera it’s set to become a force to be reckoned with in the flagship smartphone stakes, launching at the end of next month.
We recently got our hands on a Sony Xperia ZL, which is an international version of the Xperia Z, where you can see what the gorgeous design looks like in its sibling handset.
Vodafone has no 4G signal at the moment but the company will be bidding on the recent 4G signal auction by Ofcom alongside O2, who it has partnered up with to launch a nationwide 4G service.
You can pre-order the Sony Xperia Z from Vodafone now here.
