Samsung is now on the home straight with its Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone, as the handset is due to land in our hands on the 26th of April, but as the next flagship Samsung smartphone lands, our thoughts start to turn onto Samsung’s tablet range.
We have heard a lot in recent weeks about the Galaxy Note range of 8.0-inch and 10-inch tablets, but now images and rumoured specifications are reportedly leaked online surrounding the return of Samsung’s original tablet line, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.
A Greek site called Techblog has reportedly gotten hold of some exclusive information surrounding the new tablet range. The site reports that the Korean firm is planning a 10.1-inch and 8-inch version of the tablet.
The 8-inch version will reportedly have an 8-inch 1280 x 800 display and run off a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 2GB of RAM. It will also have a 3 megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front camera, 4,500 mAh battery and run the Android Jelly Bean operating system.
The larger Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 will come with a 10.1-inch screen with the same resolution as the smaller 8-inch tab and will run the same specifications internally, with the exception of the RAM which will reportedly be smaller at 1GB.
The only major difference between the two will be the screen sizes and measurements, as the 8-inch is to size up at 209.6 x 112.1 x 6.95mm with a weight of 330g whilst the 10-inch will measure 256.7 x 175.3 x 8.7 mm and weigh 533g.
What’s also reported is that the tabletss will be available in 3G and 4G variants and they will both be hitting the shelves sometime next month.
Samsung’s tablets got severely delayed last year after the huge amount of legal battles between itself and Apple, but with a new range of the Galaxy Tabs on the horizon there could be a new contender on the block for tablet supremacy.
