It appears that Sony will be expanding on its current Xperia line-up of Android running smartphones in the coming months, as a leaked image reveals that a Sony Xperia UL is on its way.
Following on from the recently released Sony Xperia Z and to be joined by the Xperia SP and ZR later on this year, the image reveals another new handset in the line-up which has been previously codenamed the ‘Gaga’.
The handset will reportedly feature a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor and according to GSMArena, the Xperia UL will feature a 1080p display, 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage with the option for micro SD expansion and a decent sized 2,300mAh battery.
We would expect the handset to be an Android Jelly Bean (not the latest version) running smartphone and with a high possibility of a waterproof/dustproof feature too, its like Sony’s Xperia Z and ZR variants.
Sony has been winning back fans with the latest series of Xperia smartphones with their sleek and classy designs and good hardware, but the company still finds itself behind both Samsung and HTC in the sales rankings.
A mid-range handset is always a good option and we think the Xperia UL will fit that market, going by the leaked specifications.
Hopefully we will see more of Sony’s latest in the next few weeks.
