Bale will be following on from Lionel Messi from the 13 offering as the face of the game and EA are getting on board by showcasing some gameplay of the incoming title with Bale playing.
Regarding the partnership with Bale, EA SPORTS, Dan Holman, Head of UK Product Marketing EA SPORTS said:

Being the face of the FIFA Franchise of games for one year is a high honor indeed with some of Footballs biggest stars have all appeared on the cover including Wayne Rooney, Jack Wilsher Frank Lampard and Ronaldinho.
With bale being on the Cover he will also be treated as an ambassador for the 2013/14 season, as well as being the face of all of the marketing. So if you are not a fan of the man, then things won’t be getting any easier this year!
Bale will be appearing on the cover of the FIFA 14 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation®3 consoles and UK customers can pre-order the exclusive limited edition copy of the game here with 24 FIFA Ultimate Team Premium Gold Packs and a host of other bonus content before 1st August 2013.
