Best Buy has recently been doing a really great job of promoting the second coming of Nexus 7, so good in fact that a recent flyer from the U.S retail giant has left Google very little to reveal when the Android-powered tablet is officially unveiled later today!
As we countdown to Google’s gadget announcement Best Buy has gone one-up once again by opening pre-ordering and giving us all the price details of the brand New Nexus 7.
The ASUS made Nexus 7 version two will come with a pair of storage options, one a 16GB model costing $229.99 and the other a double-sized 32GB weighing in at $269.99. Both are now available to pre-order on the Best Buy website which lists specs including current Android 4.3 Jelly Bean displayed on a 7″ LCD ten finger capacitive touch-screen packing a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution.
The 2013 Nexus 7 also features a 5-megapixel main camera on both iterations with 1.3-megapixel forward facing camera. A USB 2.0 port is included along with Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and the usual Google standards such as Google Play, Search, Gmail, Google Talk, Google Maps, Street View and YouTube are pre-installed to get you started.
From an ergonomic perspective this new Nexus 7 has noticeable weight loss since last version and now weighs 11.2 ounces with a thickness of just 0.3” offering a sleek profile to a tablet which will be light and portable.
The Gadget Helpline will be following the Nexus 7 as it becomes official and makes its way onto the shelves and you can check out the Best Buy deals for both the 16GB and 32GB models right now, ahead of Google’s announcement.
