LG G2 coming to Three and O2 in the UK

LG announced its latest flagship Android running smartphone on Wednesdayof  this week in the form of the LG G2. Since its announcement networks in the UK have been clamouring to put their names behind the new most powerful Android phone.

Three quickly put the handset on their website with the G2 being listed as ‘coming soo’n. O2 has also put its name in the hat and has the handset listed for release ‘later this year’. The Everything Everywhere group of Orange, T-Mobile and EE is currently not on board with the LG G2, but with the handset in its early days of life we could expect the 4G-sporting phone to turn up on EE’s 4G network if not on one of its Orange or T-Mobile sister brands.

Vodafone too is keeping away from the LG G2 at the moment, stating that it has no plans to offer the phone at this time.

The Carphone Warehouse has also listed the handset for stocking soon, with an expected October release date listed by the major UK phone retailer.

It’s easy to see why networks are getting onboardwith  the G2 as LG seems to have taken what it  learnt from the Google Nexus 4, with G2 being a sleek, speedy and high specced Android smartphone that comes with a decent price tag.

The G2 has a 5.2-inch True HD-IPS+ display which sports the Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, equating to a very, very sharp 424 pixels per inch, plus a super-fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor running at 2.3GHz with 2GB of RAM and the Adreno 330 graphics chip.

On top of that there is a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2.1 megapixel camera up front for video calling. Internally there is 32GB of storage providing plenty of space for files and a microSD card slot to further expand the memory.

So it’s easy to see why we like the look of the G2! Will you be pre-ordering one?
