It’s getting to that time of year where summer is drawing to a close and tech manufacturers are in the final steps of creating their next generations of devices in time for the Christmas period. Amazon’s Kindle Fire range of devices is one of these, with Amazon seeing a massive boost in sales over Xmas and therefore usually they have a new device each year to sell.
This means that we get some suspected leaks and rumours about what is coming around about now. Amazon’s next generation of Kindle Fire HD tablets will reportedly come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset and a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution display, if leaked information is to be believed.
The new information comes from a leaked benchmark test that is reportedly from the Amazon-built device running on Android 4.2.2, with other hardware details also revealed. If true, the new Kindle Fire HD tablet could come in an 8.9-inch size with the new speedy specifications and a high pixel density display.
As with a lot of handsets and tablets that have been rumoured for release recently, we are expecting Amazon to announce a new range of Kindle products pretty soon, with a focus on the new Kindle Fire HD range.
Amazon are pretty habitual with their releases, generally releasing a whole range on a yearly basis around the September mark. The current range of Kindle Fire HD devices was announced last year on September 6th alongside the current kindle Paperwhite eReader.
Amazon does have a history of only releasing Kindle Fire devices in the US, but with last year’s success story of the Fire tablet in Europe we hope we will be seeing the next generation land on UK shores in the next few months.
