We are just hours away from the Apple event today that should see the Cupertino company unleash its next flagship iPhone and possibly the first mid-range smartphone in the form of the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.
The event will be taking place from 6pm GMT (or 10AM PST in the US) where Apple is expected to unleash the two new handsets and show off its latest iOS 7 software running on the two new models.
In light of this, Apple’s familiar “We’ll be back.” message has appeared on the official Apple Store website which signals that changes are on the way. Usually on Apple event days we will see this message until much later in the day when the new products have been officially unveiled and are ready to go.
The page means you currently cannot access the Apple Store in any of its supported countries and states: “We’re busy updating the Apple Store for you and will be back to you soon”. The eagle eyed Apple fanatics out there will note that the classic yellow post-it note has been replaced. We know, change is tough.
The Apple Store going down for updates is as much a part of a new product launch from the company as everything else. Now it’s time to find a live stream, a comfy seat and some snacks and settle in for plenty of whooping, hollering and clapping.
