Once again Apple is building up to another big announcement where the company is expected to release a new range of iPad devices to the public. And, as per the Apple way, this means that the company has closed off its web store to make the changes to the website in time for the big announcements.
Those visiting the Apple Store online will be greeted with the now familiar “We’ll be back.” message, which signals changes are on the way. Usually on Apple event days we will see this message in place until much later in the day when the new products have been officially unveiled and are ready to go.
This means that users across the globe are currently unable to access the Apple Store in any of its supported countries, with the message from Cupertino being: “We’re busy updating the Apple Store for you and will be back to you soon”.
Later today Apple will be taking to the stage to announce a new range of iPad devices and more. We are expecting the next generation of iPad first of all, this time with the Touch ID fingerprint scanner and with the obligatory slight speed improvements and processor updates.
We are also expecting the second generation of last year’s iPad Mini which will now have a sharp Retina display and A7 processor. We’ve also heard whispers suggesting it will be released in the super popular Gold variant, as the iPhone 5S was earlier this year.
We will be covering the iPad event from 6pm UK time so stay tuned.
