Samsung has a very special kind of release schedule and it seems that you can time its yearly output from the release of its flagship Galaxy S handset (this years offering is the Galaxy S5), and from then onwards it’s all hands on deck and the company starts to release a new Android device every week.
This week’s release/leak surrounds the next generation of Samsung’s Android Tablet range, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. A 7-inch model from the fourth gen range has been leaked thanks to the ridiculously prominent @evleaks on Twitter.

The images are purportedly of the 7-inch Galaxy Tab 4 and they look very genuine, and historically the Twitter account is rarely wrong. Our expert eye says these images are official press renders which are likely to be used by Samsung on its own website and in promotional material when the product does launch.
The Tab 4 is rumoured to be on the horizon in three screen sizes: 7-inch, 8-inch and 10.1-inch and we would expect to see a incremental update on last year’s Tab 3 range. Rumours surrounding the new range suggest that the next gen Tab 4 will come with a 1280 x 800 resolution (for the 7-inch model at least), a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, micro SD slot, 4,450mAh battery and the latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. Finally, the devices will come with a 3-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front facing camera too.
There isn’t much to confirm, as it’s still very early days, but it is assumed that the tablets will be announced in April, with the release coming around June time.
