Samsung’s poorly kept tablet secret, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 range has now become official after numerous leaks over the past few weeks.
Samsung have officially confirmed that the Galaxy Tab 4 tablets are coming soon, and that they will be coming in the standard three screen sizes: 7-inch, 8-inch and 10.1-inch.
The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0/8.0/10.1 will be a mid-ranged tablet aimed at the middle of the tablet market, and as such will have some decent spec’s but nothing to compete with Apple’s latest iPad. The devices will come with 1.2GHz quad-core processors, 1200 x 800 resolution screens, Android 4.4 KitKat, 3/1.3-megapixel front/back cameras 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage as well as 4G/LTE connectivity and a MicroSD card slot on each to expand the memory.

One of the bigger changes to the new Tab 4 range is the design, which has changed substantially from the Galaxy Tab 3, instead following the lead of the Galaxy Tab Pro series with thinner bezels and less weight
Samsung won’t make much of a big deal about the Tablet devices as they set the Galaxy Note range as the higher specced devices, which makes the Tab line-up its more generic models for people on a budget.
Currently there are no pricing or release date information, but Engadget suggests that they will be available this quarter, and we would expect a UK pricing ranging from £200-400, and they will be available in both White and Black variations.
