Sony lets slip hint that The Last of Us may be coming to PS4

The Last of Us is the single greatest single player game I’ve ever played on my PS3, I can’t remember the last time a game had me so immersed, so captivated that I couldn’t sleep until I finished it. It was so good that upon completion I went to eject the disc and my PS3 chewed it up and has refused to play anything since, I think he knew that was as good as it would get for him and he would rather go out on a high. But I’m not here to sing its praises there’s bigger news afoot.

Sony have sort of accidentally maybe but not definitely announced a re-mastered version The Last of Us for PS4. Sony haven’t officially said anything, the company “accidentally” posted a banner advert on its own Sony Entertainment Network website, and then almost immediately after took it back down again. Fortunately this is the internet so if it happens someone sees it, and if someone sees it they make sure they have a photo to prove it.

Unfortunately the picture did not include a release date, but it will be priced as a premium game at $59.99 in the States which would work out about £36 in the UK, although expect it to be closer to £50. The fact that this advert is even ready to go up on the site would imply that it will be announced fairly soon and probably released soon after.

Both on PSN and physically, The PS4 version will also include the DLC so you will be able to play ‘Left Behind’ as well.”

Sony, had this to say: “At no time have we announced that The Last of Us is coming to PS4 and therefore, have nothing to say on the subject,”…
