Have you or anyone you know endured a lifetime or gibes and jokes with none of the glory simply because you’re named after one of the footballing greats? If so then your luck could be about to change!
GAME are offering discounts on 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil for customers named after World Cup winners.
The offer, known as The Legends Promotion, starts today and will run up until 14 June when England play their first game in the World Cup.
The discounts you can expect to receive depends wholly on your name, the more famous, the better the discount. Geoff Hurst for example is eligible for 66% discount at GAME stores, while customers called Edison (Pele), Franz (Beckenbauer), Diego (Maradona) or Zinedine (Zidane) will only be eligible for a 14% discount on the EA game.
The offer is only available in store and you will also need a valid proof of ID for yourself or a friend to receive the discount.
In a statement GAME said “To celebrate the summer of football we had the idea to do something with the most famous names in-store; as getting them together proved to be too much of a challenge, we are doing the next best thing by rewarding the namesakes who turn up in their place. So if you, or someone you know, has spent a lifetime as Geoff Hurst or Zinedine with all the wisecracks but without any of the glory, this is your chance to get something back!”
2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil is available to buy on PS3 and Xbox 360 and features 203 nations, 7,469 players, 21 stadiums, 19 officially licensed managers, and more than 15 hours of new in-game commentary; and if your name is Geoff Hurst – a big fat discount too!
