Samsung have been known for releasing a flagship handset and then a mini version soon after and why should the Galaxy S5 be any different?! Recent photo leaks from SamMobile show the potential up-coming Galaxy S5 mini.

Aesthetically, it’s pretty similar to that of its big brother, just smaller. It still has the same dimpled leather effect back and home button on the front. It will also include the newly sought after water and dust protection and fingerprint scanner, both debuted by the S5. It is also set to include a heart rate monitor on the back, for compatibility with their smart watches.

The smaller size also means less power compared to its Galaxy S5 predecessor. The device includes a quad-core processor running at 1.4 GHz, 1.5 GB RAM and Android 4.2.2. It is said to also come with 16GB expandable memory and an 8 megapixel camera on the back with a front facing camera stocking a 1.2 megapixels. The screen itself is 4.5 inches with a Super AMOLED 720p display and uses Gorilla Glass 3. It also has LTE 4G capabilities, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, an IR blaster and numerous other features.
Lets hope the rumours and speculations are true, and the Galaxy S5 Mini becomes a success like its larger S5 brother.
