Alien Isolation Brings Back Ripley and Crew for Pre-order DLC

If upcoming sci-fi survival horror Alien: Isolation didn’t look cool enough already it just got a star power lift by adding a pair of DLC packs for Xbox One/360 and PlayStation 3/4 featuring movie star Sigourney Weaver and members of the original 1979 cast!

The Alien: Isolation ‘Nostromo Edition’ of the game released on October the 7th will not only feature the regular storyline, set fifteen years after the original plot and sees Ellen Ripley’s daughter investigating her mother’s disappearance while being terrifyingly stalked by a singular Alien but it will also include a pre-order bonus mission called ‘Crew Expendable.

The downloadable mission takes us back to the original Alien movie and stars the classic crew of the doomed spaceship Nostromo. The original actors who played crew members Ripley (Weaver), Dallas (Tom Skeritt), Lambert (Veronica Cartwright), Parker (Yaphet Kotto) and Brett (Harry Dean Stanton) have reunited especially to voice the characters making the pre-order pack something truly special for hard-core fans.

The only exception not to appear is Ian Holm who played android Ash, who will be replaced by another voice actor. Oh, and John Hurt’s character Kane will also not be included as the mission is set after the infamous ‘dinner scene’.

Crew Expendable allows gamers to play to as Ripley, Dallas or Parker each with an individual role to play in the mission with different skills depending on their character traits.

The next DLC is titled ‘Last Survivor’ which as you would expect is a Ripley solo mission set during the movie’s closing moments as the heroine attempts to set off the ships self-destruct and eliminating the menacing Xenomorph once and for all. This bonus will only be available through purchase at selected retail chains.

Giving fan-boys and fan-girls the chance to play out these classic movie moments, alongside the brand new original storyline could set Alien: Isolation up to be one of the year’s best game releases and we really hope the gameplay lives up to the hype, overcoming the curse of recent titles in the Aliens franchise.
