The iPhone 6 may be shaping up to be as big as previous versions, definitely physically bigger at least, but a new tech schematic, purportedly for the phone, has been leaked, which details some of the phone’s internals.

Apparently, according to the leak published on MacRumors, shows that the iPhone 6 will come with just 1GB of RAM, which, compared to 2GB offering on other incoming smartphones, seems quite low. In fact, it’s no upgrade from the iPhone 5S and 5C.
Other phones which rival the iPhone 6, such as the HTC One M8, Sony Xperia Z2 and Samsung Galaxy S5, all feature double or triple the amount of the upcoming and highly expensive iPhone 6. Apple has famously managed to optimize the iPhone to use its memory effectively in the past, so this news shouldn’t be too problematic.

Additionally, the larger 5.5 inch iPhone 6 is expected to include better internal components with higher technical specifications, according to sources. However, the schematic leaked to MacRumors is not specific as to which version of the phone it refers to. If it is for the larger model this will be the best specs for the iPhone 6, but if it is for the smaller 4.7 inch model expect better specs.
Today’s leak also shows that the battery of the new device will be improved, up from 1560mAH on the last iPhone generation which included the 5S and 5C, to a new battery life of 1810mAH on the new models, according to what we’ve seen from this leak.
What we’ve also heard about the iPhone 6’s A8 internal chip is that it’ll be better optimised for conserving battery life than previous devices. This, coupled with the increased battery power storage capacity, will mean longer usage time for the phone without charging.
The iPhone 6 is expected to be announced on the 9th of September, potentially alongside the iWatch, at an Apple event in the US. Stay tuned for further updates.
