Ubisoft’s next gen assassin title introduces the new co-op mechanic, and the latest trailer shows it off with gorgeous visuals.
For the first time in the series, Assassin’s Creed Unity lets players work together to complete ‘Heist Missions’ in the same open world environment that the single-player campaign is set.
In another recent video, creative director Alex Amancio offered a walkthrough of a full co-op Heist level, in which he shows how payers must “coordinate your skills and attacks to infiltrate, steal the artifacts, and escape without being detected”.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity is the first game in the series to introduce the co-op feature, and it will see up to four players working together to complete various types of mission in the Paris setting.
“Heists are just one type of co-op mission and with constantly changing goal placement as well as a variable number and location of guards you can replay heists again and again for a fresh experience every time,” says Ubi.
The trailer below shows four different assassins taking on enemies with various weapons, all moving throughout different parts of Paris to eventually come together and fight as one. Check it out.
The publisher recently delayed Assassin’s Creed Unity’s release date by two weeks. The latest title in the open-world assassination series will now release on November 11 in North America and November 13 in Europe.
