YouTube’s biggest original content partners, channels which produce popular content without infringing any copyright on video or audio materials, are already massively popular, and some are even profitable to their makers. Now it seems being a YouTube partner could be more lucrative than ever.
The site is set to invest big in some of the original talent who are already well known by big fans of the site. Google has expressed an interest in YouTube talent before, and now the site is getting ready to elevate the careers of stars of the site who already have massive global followings, by investing a larger amount in their shows.
Rumor has it that many different kinds of content will be funded, with many formats and lengths of shows being considered. According to the rumor mill, Hollywood producers are said to have been asked to get involved in some capacity with the site, possibly for their own shows.

“we feel the time is right to make another important investment in our creators. That’s why we’ve decided to fund new content from some of our top creators, helping them not only fulfill their creative ambitions but also deliver new material to their millions of fans on YouTube.” Said Alex Carloss, Head of YouTube Originals in the site’s official blog.
The Youtube blog post also was tagged with ‘Bethany Mota’ and ‘Epic Rap Battles of History’ indicating that these may be two of the first channels to receive the extra funding.
