Acer launches Iconia B1-A71 sub-£100 7-inch Jelly Bean tablet

Acer has announced a new super budget Android Jelly Bean-sporting 7-inch tablet that will come in at the bargain basement price of $150, which is under £95 by direct conversion, called the Acer Iconia B1-A71.

The tablet comes running the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS which runs off a Mediatek dual-core 1.2GHz processor with a small 512MB of RAM to run off. The screen is a WSVGA (1,024 x 600) capacitive display and you get 8GB of memory in the device and a small but competent 0.3-megapixel camera for video calling.

The device measures in at 11.3mm thin which makes it average as far as tablets go, and weighing in at just 11.3 ounces the Acer Iconia B1-A71 is a very svelte device for the money you’d be paying.
