The Taiwanese based electronics company Acer have just announced another Android smartphone which will be added to their existing portfolio of handsets.

The new device will be called the Liquid Gold (not too sure if I like the name), and will be shown off during next week’s Mobile World Conference.  It will feature the latest ICS version 4.0 update of Android. In terms of hardware, you can expect to get a 3.7-inch screen along with a 5MP camera and NFC functionality.

Unfortunately the Acer press release doesn’t go into too much detail as to the other features of the handset, however they do say that:

“The Liquid Glow brings together the power and the convenience of Ice Cream Sandwich, providing a user-friendly interface along with widgets to easily stay connected, entertained and updated. It also works with the latest voice-input engine from Google, which guarantees a continuous “open microphone” experience and streaming voice recognition.”

It’s thought that the full details of the Acer Liquid Gold will be announced when the device is demonstrated during the MWC event.
