Despite much talk a few years back that desktops would soon be a thing of the past, the stationary machines have entered a Renaissance period recently with the arrival and popularity of all-in-one machines, akin to the Apple iMac.
Acer’s made several such machines in the last two years and doesn’t seem to want to buck the trend any time soon, having just unveiled this: the Acer Z5761. The svelte desktop boasts a 23-inch full HD display and runs Windows 7.
Under the hood there’s your choice of Intel Sandy Bridge Core i5 or i7 processors, and a SATA II hard drive up to 1.5TB. The Z5761 has you covered in terms of multimedia functionality, with a Blu-Ray spinner, NVIDIA GeForce graphics and a TV tuner. There’s also no fewer than eight USB 2.0 ports
It’ll be out in May, for a rather reasonable £799. Like what you see? Let us know your thoughts on the Gadget Helpline Twitter feed.
