Affordable Nokia 603 Symbian phone with NFC launched

Nokia has announced the launch of a brand new touchscreen phone which as the latest Near Field Communications technology baked in – the Nokia 603.

The Nokia 603 is a small, full touchscreen phone which uses the familiar Symbian software, version ‘Belle’ to be precise.

For just £175 you can pick one of these phones up unlocked to any network, and the specs are pretty impressive for the price. You’ll get a nice clear 3.5-inch touchscreen which has IPS technology, meaning it will be great quality, 1GHz processor, 2GB of internal memory and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 14.4Mbps HSDPA mobile browsing speeds.

Nokia have managed to cram in a piece of the latest tech as well, offering instant wireless connectivity with an NFC (Near Field Communications) chip. With this technology you’ll be able to touch your phone on things like payment terminals in shops, other phones and Nokia accessories.

To help you make the most of NFC, Nokia have also launched a snazzy new Luna Bluetooth headset which can be paired with the phone using Bluetooth or NFC. The headset sits in a cool little charging dock, and can be paired to the Nokia 603 with NFC by simply tapping the two devices together. The Luna headset costs around £60 and should be available online and in stores in the next week or two.

The Nokia 603 will be available in a wide range of colours, so take your pick from Yellow, Blue, White, Green, Pink or Black. Pick one up now for £175 from stores and online retailers if it takes your fancy!
