Its been a big day for Amazon today as the company has signalled a major change in its Kindle area of the business in two ways, firstly Amazon has announced that its Android App store fill now be live across Europe for proposed Amazon Kindle Fire devices.
The App store has previously been available in only North America, but the Amazon Appstore is now accessible from the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. The release of the Android App store leads fuel to the speculation that Amazon will soon be launching one of the Android powered Tablet devices in the European Market for the first time.
Additionally Amazon has today announced that in the US it has sold out of the original Kindle Fire tablet in its native market which bodes well for the probable (or imminent) release of the follow-up device the Amazon Kindle Fire 2.
Jeff Bezos, Amazon.com Founder and CEO in a statement has said: “We’re grateful to the millions of customers who have made Kindle Fire the most successful product launch in the history of Amazon,” “This has been a big year for digital products on Amazon – all of the top 10 sellers on Amazon.com since Kindle Fire launched just less than a year ago are digital products.”
Bezos has confirmed that the “Kindle Fire is sold out” and then stating that Amazon has “an exciting roadmap ahead”.
All of these details do pint toward a release of a newer Amazon kindle Fire tablet and that if there is a Kindle Fire released in the UK and Europe that device will probably be the newer Fire 2.
Amazon has a press event scheduled for September the 6th in the US and then we should find out more about its future Kindle and tablet plans. You can access onto the Amazon App store in the UK by clicking here>>
