Amazon ‘Pass My Parcel’ Service Allows Same Day Collection

Amazon has announced a new way for customers in the UK to get their goods faster than ever thanks to a partnership with Smiths News which will see the launch of a same-day collection service called Pass My Parcel.

Pass My Parcel will make it possible for Amazon buyers to order an item before 11.45am in the morning for collection at one of the 500 selected Smiths News shops later that very same day before store closing time. Customers can collect their orders with a code which will be emailed by Amazon along with their purchase confirmation.

Orders placed after the cut-off point and before 7.45pm will be still be dispatched ASAP and ready to pick up from store opening the very next day using Express Morning which is also a new collection option available to customers for the first time. The Pass My Parcel and Express Morning services are free of charge to Amazon Prime members for a limited time but are also available at a cost of £4.99 to non-members. The regular home delivery options will of course still be available offering order fulfilment at the usual Amazon high standard.

With Pass My Parcel and Express Morning the online department store looks to expand on its collection services and already has Amazon Lockers which are pick up points found across the country in 6,000 diverse locations including shopping centres, train stations and airports.
