Samsung Galaxy SIII: Amazon.de Leaks Details of Android ICS Smartphone Ahead of May Launch

Just like St. George’s dragon the speculation surrounding the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy SIII is soon to be slain, with the gadget set to launch in London on May 3rd. However, there are a few more weeks for any remaining leaks to surface with the official countdown now under way and online retailer Amazon‘s German website has this weekend offered up such a leak – which could attract the fiery breath of the Korean tech manufacturer!

Amazon.de launched a page marker for the “Samsung Galaxy S3 Smartphone” suggesting the super-smartphone will be available in “schwarz” or black and it’s said to feature 4.7” Super AMOLED display, 12-megapixel camera and come carrying the Android 4.0 ce Cream Sandwich OS. The listing continues to read (purely by guesstimation of this non-German speaking blogger) that the SGSIII will also feature 16GB internal memory and storage expansion up to 32GB with MicroSD. This all shapes up with details that were previously only rumour, but being released by a reputable retailer such as Amazon does add to the legitimacy.

The site sadly features no mention of the supposed quad-core processor or an official image of the must have gadget, which we are yet to see outside the realm of Photoshop wizardry and suspect “in the wild” shots, but it does list the Samsung Galaxy SIII at an estimated price of EUR 599.00 which equates to around £490 British Pounds – but gives no release date. We should know this information when the gadget is official announced on May the 3rd.

We think a more apt date to launch a device in the “Galaxy” range would be May the 4th, obviously.
