HTC is officially launching its Android Ice Cream Sandwich mass update in the coming weeks as it is looking to upgrade its HTC Sensation, Sensation XE and finally the Sensation XL in the next month with a full rollout to follow.

The Taiwanese company HTC announced that its latest flagship handset range will be getting the rollout in the end of Feb/early march which will bring the full Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to the latest handsets.

HTC Had previously announced that ICS will be coming to the Sensation handsets but in the form of a new Ice White Sensation smartphone with built in ICS, but this appears to no longer be the case as all Sensation users will be getting the upgrade in the coming months.

In the Facebook announcement HTC stated:

“HTC has been working hard to get its Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades ready, and we’re excited to announce that our first round of ICS upgrades will roll out by the end of March for the HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XE, followed soon thereafter by the HTC Sensation XL,”

What’s more HTC Has also confirmed that following the Sensation ranges upgrade they will then be working on upgrading a host of other handsets to Ice Cream Sandwich including:

HTC Rezound, HTC Vivid, HTC Amaze 4G, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G, HTC Incredible S, HTC Desire S and HTC Desire HD.

With HTC advising to “ Stay tuned for more updates on Ice Cream Sandwich releases in the coming weeks.”

SO if you are a sensation user keep your eye out on your handsets update software and keep on checking to get some ICS goodness.
