Android “Ice Cream” will see the launch of Google TV to mobiles and tablets

Google plans to bring TV to Android-enabled handhelds and mobiles after the proposed summer launch of latest pudding titled platform release “Ice Cream” – claims a report from GTVSource.com.

The official news should drop at I/O conference next month with internet portal TV tuning into the Android Open Source Code (known as AOSP – of course) and uniting 3 platforms including Gingerbread for mobiles, Honeycomb for tablets, and the unannounced Ice Cream version.

As we discovered recently Android is the people’s choice when it comes to smartphone platforms and Google TV would bring IPTV to the masses – on both phones and tablets, thus allowing a massive choice of on-the-move viewing and superior distribution for broadcasters.

TV in the palm of our hand – exciting stuff for telly addicts! We should get the full low down at the Google Developers Conference on May 10th – 11th.
