Rovio Mobile has beaten its own high score, once more topping the mobile gaming world with the addictive Angry Birds app and catapulting to over 350-million player downloads across mobile and tablet platforms.

The company’s US general manager introduced the stats, declaring that dedicated Angry Birds gamers collectively engage in 300-million minutes of pig-popping action daily – this on a range of devices from Android and iPhone mobiles to iPod Touch and tablets and including the Angry Birds original title, as well as Seasons and movie tie-in, Rio.

Andrew Stalbow also sass that other areas are soaring also, with Angry Birds plush toys selling more than two-million units in just 10-months since the feathered freedom fighters hit the shelves back in December 2010. Add that to the 1-million of the recently released t-shirts sold so far.

“There’s a very strong focus on Angry Birds because it’s turning into a big entertainment franchise” says the GM.

Bearing in mind there has been a lot of talk about an Angry Birds movie, this could just be the beginning – it’s clear the avian invasion has taken over our mobile-owning society!
