Angry Birds Space is the fourth instalment of the popular gaming range for mobile gadgets and it launches this Thursday! As an advanced preview of the kind of space-based gravity-defying gameplay we can expect from lift off a series of videos have gone live announcing five classic birds with alien avian makeover as well one brand new never before seen bird showing off its “cool” special skill!
First up the classic Red Bird goes sci-fi, donning some space-age spectacles and demonstrating some dips and dives within the gravity shifting environments of the new Angry Birds game. Next up is Terrence, a green feather sibling to the original Big Red Bird who brings total devastation to anything he collides with! The separating Blue Birds also return, with new stealthy headgear they break into three and fly faster than ever terrorising those troublesome Pigs in Space. Bomb reappears in a new Jetson-esque attire to bring the usual big bang of destruction and is followed up by a brand new bird, the Ice Bird which covers any surface it impacts with a slippy layer of ice! Launch partner NASA recently unveiled Angry Birds Space in a video on its International Space Station in orbit of Earth and the game will arrive on Thursday 22nd March on Android smartphones and tablets, as well as Apple iPhone and iPad.
