Apple iOS 7.1 Beta 4 being sent to developers tomorrow

Tech website BGR is reporting that the next update to the Apple iOS software, version 7.1, will be hitting developers from tomorrow in the 4th round of Beta testing.

BGR reports that the software update is being sent out to developers as soon as tomorrow for app testing and software testing, and is already with networks and carriers so that they can add network specific software and ensure Apple’s new release works well with their services.

iOS 7.1 will reportedly contain the following fixes:

  • Fixing keyboard issues
  • Problems with the contacts app
  • Changes to the phone UI
  • Plus other changes including Apple working very hard to address some large memory bugs and other issues in iOS 7 that have caused crashes and restarts for a lot of users

The other Beta tests have brought interface changes to the Calendar and phone apps as well as the system shut down screen. iOS 7.1 will also likely unlock the previously announced iOS in-car features.

The fact it’s in its 4th beta phase means that Apple is already pretty far along with the update, and if it’s being sent to networks it’s likely close to being finished.

There is no news on when the update will be released for the public, but hopefully 7.1 will continue to iron out some of those iOS 7 niggles.
