Apple’s new Final Cut Pro X video editing suite, which Apple say they re-built from the ground up to give users the best experience possible, is not going down too well it would seem.
In fact the recent reviews of the new suite haven’t really been that amazing and users are saying the same thing.
And now, the latest news from the folk over at The Next Web, is that Apple has started to issue refunds to unhappy customers, who have filed a request through the Mac App store customer service page.
One customer received a response from Apple saying “Moving forward, I understand that you are not satisfied with the app “Final Cut Pro”. I can certainly appreciate you would like a refund, and I would be more than happy to help you out with this today. In five to seven business days, a credit of £179.99 should be posted to the credit card that appears on the receipt for that purchase.
Please note that this is a one-time exception because the iTunes Terms and Conditions state that all sales are final.”
Although Apple state in the terms and conditions that all sales are final, it would seem that users who are chasing a refund for the program have found that saying it doesn’t function as expected is the best way to receive a refund.
Perhaps Apple are working on some tweaks as we speak to rectify users concerns and disappointment? It that is the case, it would be easy for Apple to issue an update due to the fact that Final Cut Pro X is distributed via the Mac App store.
