Apple updates Apple Store iOS app to enable custom Mac orders

  • by

Along with their Apple Store 2.0 refresh, Apple has added new functionality to their Apple Store iOS app to enable customers to build a Mac to their specification, and then order it – straight through the app.

There are also some other features and improvements within the app, specifically within the Store tab. The app will now be able to tell which store you’re in (provided you have a data connection), and give you information on the store such as how many people are in front of you in the queue, when the next Genius Bar appointment is free, and when the next in-store device tutorial is.

All in all, pretty neat and a nice touch by Apple to compliment the Store 2.0 changes in their retail outlet which mark the 10th anniversary of their first Apple Store opening.
