Almost a year to the day that a leaked promotional pic for Assassin’s Creed III surfaced, the same web source has obtained an early glimpse at the next game in the series which we now know will be titled Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
Kotaku has managed to grab a poster for the future game in the Ubisoft-developed historical saga which as of yet has no release date and no information surrounding its mystery. However, we can see from the leaked photo that the next instalment of Assassin’s Creed will likely take place at some point in the 18th century and will certainly be a sea faring adventure, featuring a new Templar assassin facing off against skullduggerous pirates.
The current Assassin’s Creed title – Assassin’s Creed III – was released in October 2012 on Xbox 360 and PS3 (with a Wii U addition following) and the promotional materials broke cover late last February. With this in mind, we could possibly expect Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag to arrive earlier than the expected date which was previously believed to be April 2014. The poster leaked today is said to have been planned for a reveal on March 4th with an official announcement coming from Ubisoft.
Gadget Helpline will be keeping our spyglasses raised to keep our readers savvy to all the developments as we head towards to launch of Assassin’s Creed IV.
