US network carrier AT&T has announced it will be offering up the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active to its customers from June 12th and a ‘Coming Soon’ page for the flagship variant is now live showing it off in a series of official photos as well as giving a rundown of its rugged specifications.
‘Built for Adventure’ boasts the headline on the AT&T product page for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active – and below this is our first glimpse at the latest spin on Samsung’s recently released flagship. It really does look like a hard-core bit of kit.Designed to actual military standards (IP68 rating) and engineered to take on any challenge, the handset comes complete with dustproofing as well as shock and water resistance to withstand 1.5 metres for 30 minutes. The S6 Active also features a thick protective edge and an urban camouflage motif in choice of blue, grey or white.
Physical buttons for menu, home and back functions are included in this unique S6 model and are chunky and are raised along the bottom allowing them to be pressed with ease regardless of the weather conditions. Calls can be made and answered and photos can be taken from the lock screen so you can take a quick selfie while partaking in your extreme sport of choice.

This is all displayed on the handset’s 5.1″ Quad HD Super AMOLED touchscreen and powered by 64-bit Octa-core Exynos processor with 32GB of internal storage as standard (expandable by the usual Micro-SD). Cameras on offer include a 16-megapixel rear shooter and 5-megapixels up front and battery life stays healthy with an impressive 3,500 mAh unit installed which can be powered up with ultra-power saving or 30 minute/50 percent fast charging options available through built-in wireless charging, provided you have the pad to go with it.AT&T reveals customers can claim the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active from June 12th in the United States and we await confirmation that it’s even going to make it over to us here in Blighty.
