Awaken Your Star Wars Emoji on Twitter – How to Get Them Now!

To mark Star Wars Celebration and the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer which went live yesterday, Twitter in partnership with Disney and Lucasfilm will launch a selection of highly tweetable character icons/emoji.

These can be used throughout the festivities and up to the release of the film with the first three characters available right now. And we can assure you these are the emoji you’re looking for if you want to give your tweets as much swagger as Lando Calrissian!

The starting line-up includes classic droid C3PO, a new look Stormtrooper, and new droid on the block – BB-8. To embed these special characters in your tweets you’ll need to add a hashtag to the following keywords to get them to appear alongside it: #C3PO #STORMTROOPER #BB8

Pretty simply and a very fun way to theme your messages about the highly anticipated Episode VII which will become one of the year’s biggest Twitter trends.

And for the next few days you can also join in with the Star Wars Celebration by following the event’s dedicated Twitter and the main Star Wars profile – even if, like us, nobody invited you.
