The newly announced Blackberry Bold 9900 is soon to be setting Blackberry fans’ hearts a-fluttering as RIM’s new flagship device, but now that we have all the down and dirty info on the handset what we need to know is where we can get our hands on one!
Well so far O2, Three and Vodafone have all confirmed that they will be stocking the business-focused phone. The Blackberry 9900 is the thinnest ever BlackBerry handset at just 10.5mm thick, but inside its slender shell it packs a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 768MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (upgradable via Micro SD), and a 5-megapixel camera with flash and image stabilisation.
The device sports a 2.8-inch 287dpi capacitive touchscreen, full Qwerty keyboard and will run the new BlackBerry OS 7 software which includes voice search, faster browsing, a new-look Liquid graphics interface, support for augmented-reality apps, NFC, HTML 5 and up to 720p high-definition video recording.
The only network not to commit to the BlackBerry Bold 9900 is the Everything Everywhere group which comprises of Orange and T-Mobile, but with the 9900 being the flagship BlackBerry handset it probably won’t be long until they announce the stocking info.
Currently Three, Vodafone and O2 have the handset listed down as coming soon with no pricing or release info but stay tuned to the Gadget Helpline Twitter, Facebook and RSS feed for future updates.
