RIM’s Blackberry 9900 will be launched within the month through Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy, the handset will be free on £31-per-month contracts with no word yet on how much it’ll set us back as a SIM-free deal.
On appearances alone the 9900 Bold Touch looks like your typical Blackberry handset, but with a bit of a stylish flare, cased in a stainless steel and featuring the all-new diminutive 2.1″ 640 x 480 touchscreen feature but doesn’t forsake the familiar QWERTY keyboard which is also included. The handset is the first RIM model to come packing the new Blackberry OS7 and with 1.2GHz processor onboard its set to become the Blackberry flagship mobile.
Carphone Warhouse are billing the 9900 for a August 18th release, Phones4u already put its cards on the table early with an August 15th date given – Either way, we don’t have too long to find out.
We saw today a selection of new handsets such as the Torch 9860 and Torch 9810 which are heading our way from RIM – Check out the Gadget Helpline article covering the full range – here.
