App World 3.0 now up for grabs on Blackberry smartphones

RIM has just unveiled Blackberry App World 3.0 for its range of mobile gadgets, improving on the existing interface and providing easier ways to use the platform’s software market.

Presenting users with a “Slick New Design” the App World now delivers all the same games, entertainment and software in a much easier way to search for and view, particularly with its spotlight banner. This allows BB owners to view the latest and top apps available, through individual channels for ranges such as Apps, Games and Themes. All this with reviews, summaries, star ratings and screen shots of potential app purchases.

The new ‘My Account’ feature manages easy payments through BBID and provides account information straight from the homescreen, while ‘My World’ gives a ‘streamlined’ view of purchased and downloaded apps, and listing which are installed and which have been uninstalled. All this and the option to manage subscription and content, as well as updates via push technology.

Apps can be shared socially in Blackberry App World 3.0, so that once users find a great piece of software they can easily share with pals with a direct link to Facebook, Twitter and email services.

Blackberry App World 3.0 will be rolling out onto Blackberry gadgets installed with OS 5.0 and above in the next few days. If you’re a Blackberry owner you should be automatically notified about the update’s availability soon.
