RIM’s latest Blackberry Curve range of handsets has recently seen one of its brethren sent over to India to take on the emerging mobile market, but after last month reports that the Blackberry Curve 9320 was only going to be an indian device, T-Mobile today have listed the phone to go on sale in the UK.
T-Mobile have launched a Coming Soon page for the latest Curve handset and it looks like the handset will be landing in the UK by the end of May.
The Blackberry Curve 9320 is a mid-ranged blackberry handset and the shape resembles the newer Curve 9360with its slim-line rubberised volume buttons and size, but the front of the phone is much closer to the old Curve 9300.
The phone has a 2.44-inch display, 3.2-Megapixel rear camera (no autofocus) with LED flash, 3G connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, GPS and 512MB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a Micro SD card. It’s clear that this phone will be an entry level phone to encourage pay as you go users to hop aboard the good ship BlackBerry.
The BlackBerry smartphone is one of the most popular in India, with Research in Motion holding third spot in the market, behind Samsung and Nokia respectively. We’re pretty certain this new Curve model will launch over here in the UK as well, as the range is very popular on pay as you go tariffs.
Obviously the handset would be released in the UK as a lower end or budget phone for the current market but T-Mobile users will be able to expect a very cheap deal with the handset when it come to the UK.
