Budget HTC One V Android 4.0 ICS Phone Released Next Week – The New HTC Wildfire!

HTC’s latest stream of HTC One branded handsets is looking to get the V to join the party in the coming weeks as the mid-range Android smartphone is looking set to be released from the 23rd of  April on most networks and SIM free afterwards.

The modest HTC smartphone is the little brother to HTC’s current flagship handsets the HTC One X and One S but is still a top notch smartphone for people looking to upgrade to get the latest Android experience but for less.

Consider the One V as the Wildfire of 2012, being the little phone who could. Coming packed with a 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM and a 3.7-inch (bigger than the iPhone 4S!)  800 x 480 touchscreen display, all running on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS which is ably assisted by the HTC Sense 4.0 user interface.

The phone also packs a 5-megapixel camera including 720p HD video recording ability with 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via an additional microSD card.

The HTC One V will be HTC’s budget smartphone for the year with mobile networks such as Orange, O2, and Vodafone offering the phone for free on the £15-£25 per month contracts, so is ideal for any smartphone start-ups and upgraders from a similarly priced phone.

If you would like to own the phone outright then you can also purchase the HTC One V SIM-free for around £230 from stores like Amazon, Expansys and Play.com.

We love the HTC One X and S and also were massive fans of HTC’s budget Wildfire offerings so we have high expectations for the next entry level phone the HTC One V.
