It’s no secret that the Nintendo Wii is all grown-up following the unveiling of a “living room revolution” at the recent E3 Expo and with the new improved Wii U comes a new mature line-up of games – but little did we suspect that highly-anticipated shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 might be amongst them!
Nintendo Gamer magazine has leaked what would appear to be promotion relating to such a revelation this after the game was made official in early May for Xbox 360, PC and Playstation 3. Promotion for the next Call of Duty title was launched with several viral promotional features showing off some of the futuristic tech which will be seen in the sequel to the popular Black Ops spin-off when it arrives on November 13th. There was absolutely no mention as to the game’s arrival on original edition or new Wii consoles. If this was top secret Wii U news, we would think that last week’s three day gaming and entertainment event would be the stage to make such a grand announcement, which makes this news all the more surprising – or unbelievable.
Whether this is a ruse or fact, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 from developer Treyarch and publisher Activision looks to reinvent the franchise when it arrives later this year, combining historical conflict with future events set in 2025. There will be the familiar single play missions and multiplayers maps and doubtedly and arsenal of DLC content up for grabs. Bringing Call of Duty onto the Wii U’s HD touchscreen GamePad, with potential for real time maps and content as well as utilising the social Mii-verse we could see some really exciting developments and a real game changer if this news becomes truth.
