Call of Duty: Black Ops II Zombie Mode revealed in new trailer

Our favourite bit about the Call of Duty series is going to be in the forthcoming Black Ops 2 title, and it’s going to be better than ever. Oh yes, we’re talking Zombie Mode.

Creators Treyarch and Activision have released the first video trailer for Zombie Mode in Black Ops 2 – or ‘blops 2’ as we affectionately call it – and it looks brilliant. In the past this mode has given gamers the chance to blast through wave after wave of the undead, with the aim of gaining a high score and reaching new levels. This option will be present in Black Ops 2, but it will be joined by two new game modes.

Tranzit and Grief are the two new modes, which will complement the classic survival mode, and both offer unique twists on the classic bonus mode. Tranzit is a story mode style take on Zombies, with players teaming up in a co-op fashion – presumably both online and locally – to take on a zombie world. Treyarch boss Mark Lamia has said that Tranzit will put players into a “massive world” where they can explore, pick up items and weapons and build new defences – are you as excited as we are yet?

Furthermore, this mode includes a rickety old bus that players can use for transportation as well as for shelter. It’s not been confirmed yet, but we sure hope we can use the bus as some sort of zombie plough. As with everything in Zombie Mode, the bus isn’t safe from the hordes of flesh eaters, and if they want to they’ll get on board with you – bus pass or not.

On the other hand, we have Grief Mode. In this mode two teams are pitted against each other, against the zombies. The team with the last man or men standing wins, but you can’t shoot members of the opposite team. This, to us, sounds like a ton of fun – there’s obviously the standard plan of surviving, but then again you could try to corner your opponents and lead the zombies to them.

The game comes out on November 13th, but in the meantime check out the Zombie Mode trailer below.
